 We are learning how to conduct proper science experiments and then record what we did and what we noticed. We could investigate any area of science we wanted I chose to do an experiments about magnets. Here is my work.

Why we should eat insects

I believe we should eat insects, here are my reasons why

Firstly, there are at least 10 trillion (1,000,000,000,000) insects. Bugs cab eat our environment which is very bad, so we would be saving the environment.

Secondly, many different cultures around the world have and still eat insects.  By the way, Maoris used to eat bugs. I still eat ants.

My third reason is it's free food. Lots of people like food, you can look around corners and go find them, and if you do they become free food, 

My final reason is that insects contain nutrients, even maggots. These nutrients are good for you.

 Because we were using ‘Insects’ as a topic this week for reading and writing we created some works of art based on insects also. We had to make them out of any materials we could find at home.

The smart giant

 In Week 3 of Term 3, we did Play Make Create. This is where the teacher reads you a story and you discuss the message in the story. Then you create something based on the message and also do a piece of writing. You can use materials or make a digital creation.  This week Mrs Craig Read the book: the smartest Giant in Town by Julia Donaldson.
